Abstract submissions are now open for K-12 Ultrasound Genetic Therapy Mini-Symposium
We invite participants to submit short abstracts highlighting their research projects, innovative ideas, or scientific interests related to ultrasound applications in genetic therapies. Selected abstracts will be showcased during the symposium, providing students with an opportunity to practice scientific communication, share their work with peers, and gain early exposure to a collaborative research environment.
Students can choose a topic of interest within the field of ultrasound, genetic engineering, and therapy, explain why it matters, set their research goals, and note what guidance they might need. A collective team proposal between two to three students is also welcomed.
All abstracts will be reviewed by symposium panelists and committee members. Students/teams with their abstracts accepted will be invited to the mini symposium to present their posters at the Michelson Hall venue at USC’s main campus during a special poster session. Panelists will serve as judges and provide feedback.
*Deadline: October 12th, 2025
We encourage students to submit their abstracts as early as possible, as the number of available poster slots is limited to 80.
*Submissions are open until November 23rd, 2025
Interested middle and high school researchers are still welcome to submit their research proposals or abstracts until November 23rd. We will do our best to provide feedback and guidance on late submissions, although this cannot be guaranteed.
